I love experiencing new wedding venues because I don't always know what to expect. It keeps the day exciting for me and keeps the creative juices going all day long. MKJ Farms had so much to offer! All the ladies got ready in the house on top of the hill and the views were INCREDIBLE!!!!

They met while at Aviation Mechanic school in the Marine Corps and live out of state so it was hard meeting up with them until their wedding day. We met at the Memorial Art Gallery to do their first look because the ceremony location was just around the corner (Chapel Hill).

It's my first year of being completely booked for weddings (nearly 30 different couples.) With a few double header weekends and only a select few Saturdays off from May to November.... I remember watching the weather and getting ready to prepare for a rainy day wedding, but it only sprinkled for a few seconds while we were taking their family portraits. The day couldn't have been more perfect and it ended with the most colorful sunset.

I first met Sarah while I was in high school and she also happened to be my favorite teacher's granddaughter. We played travel soccer together and stayed in touch over the years. Once I heard she was engaged, I was hoping she might reach out to me to be a part of their special day.

I love living in this area and the fact it has amazing parks and lakefront views makes it a great location for many of my photography sessions. One frequent location I love visiting is Webster Park by the pier and that's exactly where Mike + Samantha became husband and wife.
