SKY Armory - Syracuse Wedding | Gary + Becky

Married June 16th, 2018

One of my favorite parts of a wedding day is my drive to the wedding. I'm excited, anxious and super pumped to photograph beautiful love all day long!!! Not too long ago I was making this same drive for a past couple's winter wedding at SKY Armory. Becky + Gary started their day at the Jefferson Clinton Hotel (right down the road from their venue) where I hung out with the girls and guys while they were getting ready. I love it when couples get ready in the same location because it makes it really easy to go from floor to floor to photograph both! As I was taking some detail shots, Becky mentioned her earrings were a find from my other SKY Armory bride's blog post (thanks Abi!!) The girls looked gorgeous in their Rent the Runway dresses and everyone was crying over how stunning Becky looked in her wedding dress (especially Gary... Sorry Gary, had too!)

Gary and Becky's first look was full of so many different emotions. Gary had me crying behind the camera multiple times on their special day, but this was the moment I remembered most! After the first look, us and the bridal party walked around Downtown Syracuse for some bridal party pictures and ended on top of the parking garage connected to their venue. Many people believe first looks break the special moment of the bride walking down the aisle to their groom, but it definitely does not!! Gary already knew how beautiful Becky looked and now he was excited to marry the love of his life. The little corks of the day had me laughing... from the best man dropping their wedding bands, Gary vowing to never love Becky forever, to your cake knife breaking in half... the day was AMAZING!!! The 'Magic Mike' dance is something we all will remember and of course Gary singing to Becky had us all in tears.
