I’ve been very blessed by the people my job has led me to throughout the years. Sometimes I instantly connect with couples and for Greg + Tami I knew they were a special. When I first met with them we planned their engagement session around this time of year and a 2020 winter wedding. Things changed due a family member’s illness and moving up the date to this year needed to happen. I was heartbroken by the news of Tami’s dad becoming very sick. The morning of the wedding as I was on my way to the church, I found out he couldn’t get out of bed that day (news no one wants to hear). I know this isn’t the happiest story because all we want in life is to have our favorite people by our side, but they way I saw all of Greg + Tami’s closest loved ones step up and put them first all day long was truly amazing. Her sister took on EVERYTHING Tami needed and her brother in law stepped in to walk her down the aisle and Tami shared a sweet dance with her mama. As soon as Greg + Tami were together after the ceremony I couldn’t even stop smiling because of them. Schoen Place was only a minute away from their church so we took some photos there before heading to Monroe’s Restaurant. Not many of my weddings are this intimate, but it’s really refreshing seeing what’s the most important on a wedding day and that’s the bride and groom. You both are each other’s best friends and it was an honor to be able to share this day with you. I really hope you decide to take me on for the winter session because you deserve your winter wedding images you envisioned (plus I want another excuse to hang out with you again!!!) Pro tip: Never shut a church door all the way…. you may get locked out haha.
