The Wintergarden by Monroe's - Rochester Wedding | Willie + Dara

It’s hard to believe I’m officially done blogging about all of my 2018 weddings and I’m really eager to blog about THE BEST OF 2018 | WEDDINGS in December!!! This year was my largest wedding season ever with 31 weddings and today I’m fully booked for 2019 with 25 weddings. Although I told myself I’m going to max out at 25 couples…. I still have room for a couple more weddings in April, May, August, November and December if you become recently engaged in the next few weeks!!! I’m no longer accepting wedding inquires for the other months next year.

For Willie + Dara’s wedding we met at the Rochester Riverside Hotel where the entire bridal party was getting ready. I loved the suites each side had and the amount of natural lighting and space we all had was incredible. I had no idea Dara was planning on wearing a wedding cape until seconds before photographing her details and I must say I was blown away by her unique choice of attire. I’ve never seen a wedding cape before and it had a very similar effect as a cathedral veil! Speaking of untraditional… the groom, groomsmen, bridesman, AND flower man all had a colorful/floral suits! I’m pretty sure they were the first bridal party to have something other than black, gray or navy. Since it was a cooler November day, we did the first look and then took some of the bridal party pictures outside the hotel before heading to the venue to finish everything. It was my first time photographing a wedding at the Wintergarden by Monroe’s and now I’m crossing my fingers to get more really soon. This venue is breathtaking and the day was even better because I got to work with one of my favorite Rochester DJs, Marquee Events, and a new videographer who I just added to my preferred vendor list… James Erb!!! Willie + Dara also surprised me with the most EPIC entrance and first dance, which you will see in the pictures below. Thank you so much for choosing me to be your wedding photographer!!!
