Shadow Lake - Rochester Wedding | John + Amy
Married October 20th, 2018
John + Amy’s story began with the magical world of online dating… a story I can completely relate too! Their love story and entire theme of their wedding day involved penguins and pebbles. Here’s a quick backstory:
“Penguins search through piles of pebbles to find the smoothest, most perfect ones. When a penguin has selected his pebble, he presents it to his intended companion. If she approves, she puts the stone in her nest and the two are well on their way to becoming mommy and daddy birds. Pebbles are so important to the penguins that males often fight over the prettiest selections.”
Shadow Lake has been a pretty popular venue for me this year and I was so happy to return again. Unfortunately a week or so ago the venue had a horrible fire and I’m hoping for a fast and easy recovery for Shadow Lake. Throughout the day we were dodging some light rain and besides having to move the ceremony inside, we lucked out with the weather!!! Part of the ceremony included some very talented musicians, one who was a part of the production of the Titanic…. one of my all time favorite movies!!! Sir James Galway must have loved my most memorable moment of their special day, which was the “speech/performance” of John’s father. A family member gifted him a “nose flute” and he performed the Titanic theme song, “My Heart Will Go On.” I will also add, he totally nailed it!!!! Thank you so much for choosing me to capture this amazing day! Congratulations John + Amy!!!
